YLC Recycles Scales & Ales

Please join us for Volunteering to help Audobon Aquarium with their annual event SCALES & ALES! We are asking for 10 volunteers to assist with glass recovery from various bars at the event, as well as guiding the event attendees to recycling stations and advising on effective recycling material allocation. 

This ask is for volunteers to work a 4hr shift from 7pm - 11pm. If you can work an alternative shift, 7-10 or 8-11 for example, please consider signing up and we'd be glad to have your help!

Time: 7:00pm - 11:00pm

Scales & Ales returns as one of the highlights of New Orleans’ fall social season to support wildlife conservation while enjoying the magic of Audubon Aquarium and Audubon Insectarium after dark. 2023 marks the 11th Scales & Ales event—the first to be celebrated in the Aquarium’s imaginatively transformed space.

This year, Scales & Ales celebrates Audubon Coastal Wildlife Network’s sea turtle conservation efforts.

PERKS:

We have WATS re-usable cups that will be offered to our volunteers (1 per person, usually a $20 offer!) and can be used for discounted drinks at WATS. 

There will be an appreciation event in October, and volunteers for this event will also earn a free beverage on YLC Recycles!
