What do we do?

There is no instructor in Toastmasters. Instead, attendees are assigned a quick presentation and we evaluate one another’s delivery. This feedback process is a key part of the program’s success. Be ready to give impromptu talks on assigned topics, prepare a speech in advance conduct meetings and develop skills related to timekeeping, grammar, critical thinking and evaluation skills, all very transferable to the professional world.

Members learn these communication skills by working through the Competent Communication manual, a series of 10 self-paced speaking assignments designed to instill a foundation in public speaking. Everyone does this at their own pace.
