Recycle DAT with GroundsKrewe DAY 1

Recycle DAT is looking for volunteers for the 2025 Mardi Gras season! Grounds Krewe is hosting the campaign this year, with various Recycling Hubs from Academy of Sacred Heart to Harmony Circle. Shifts are 4hr periods, roughly 10am-2pm and 2pm-6pm. Please locate the sign-ups through the shared link below! Volunteer shifts are available both weekends of Mardi Gras (Feb 22-23 and March 1-2.

Activities include handing out recycling bags to parade goers and collecting cans/glass/plastic bottles/ and unwanted parade throws from the public. Its a great time, entertaining, and really helps us make an impact during New Orleans busiest festival season where we generate an enormous amount of waste that can largely be recycled and removed from our storm drains / environment / trash dumps.
