YLC Fleurish: Bayou St. John Kayaking Trip

Join us for this 2 hour kayaking trip along Bayou St. John while we learn about the history, community, and wildlife of the bayou! Arrive by 1:15 as launch is at 1:30pm sharp.

• Come fed and hydrated

• Has and sunglasses are a good idea

• Wear something comfortable, mobile and weather-appropriate. For warm weather, light-colored, loose-fitting. Your shoes should be flat.

Lasting about two hours, this tour may appeal to those looking for less of a time and athletic commitment. Great opportunity for first-time kayakers! From West Indies-style architecture of the late 1700s to Frank Lloyd Wright inspired homes, you’ll travel through time as we paddle from one charming neighborhood to the next, all the while learning the history and significance of Bayou St. John. The focus is mostly community with a hint of wildlife.
