Description

The Food Pantry of New Orleans was established in 2013 after Toyota of New Orleans transformed a building on their property into a soup kitchen. It has now grown to provide groceries and hot meals to senior citizens and families in our community. Ms. Betty, the Chief Operations Director of the pantry, says, “...in a city known for food, it is a shame that so many people are going hungry every day.” In 2022, the program served over 320,000 hot meals to senior citizens and people experiencing homelessness and over 7.2 million pounds of groceries to low-income families.
