Danielle's Fun YLC Fact
I became a Project Leader at my very first Jumpstart Meeting! I had just paid my membership dues and went to a Jumpstart Meeting to sign up for volunteer opportunities. They announced that Volunteer in the Arts (VITA) didn't have a Project Leader and, since it was the project that I was most interested in, I signed up on the spot. I ended up leading the project for more than 5 years and it still holds a warm place in my heart.

What YLC means to Danielle
The most rewarding aspect of working with the YLC has been a deeper knowledge and admiration for the city’s social experience. Everyone knows there’s a music festival every weekend, but as a young professional YLC member I also discovered volunteer days and art walks and candidate forums and fundraising galas and networking events and opportunities to plant trees and otherwise leave my mark. The YLC has given me opportunities to experience a different level of the city that I love so much.
